Financial Assistance

Learning how to take ownership of your finances is one of the biggest adulting tasks you will master. Both on and off campus programs can help students navigate the complexities of finances and equip you to handle decisions and financial matters now and in the future.

Resources for Financial Assistance

On Campus

Every Wednesday, come Downtown with your Western Student, Faculty, or Staff ID to score deals and discounts all day long on things like coffee, movies, food, yoga- so many great deals!

Make an appointment with Financial Aid to understand your education funding sources, alert them to an changes on your FASFA and learn about other potential funding sources such as loans and scholarships.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), located in Academic West on campus, can assist you in filing your taxes. This is a free service, appointments are encouraged.

This new program at Western can make adulting tasks much more manageable. You can make an appointment with a peer mentor and learn how to budget and manage your personal finances. 

Off Campus

This local off campus resource provides free financial education classes that help you take control of your finances; learning how to budget, manage debt and set long term financial goals.
