Description

Bestselling author, Stephanie Land visits Western for Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.  Land will share her personal experience of navigating poverty, domestic violence, motherhood and higher education. From her books Maid, also turned into a Netflix series, and her book Class, Land exposes the need for higher education to take seriously the basic needs discrepancies that students face daily. There will be a book signing following the presentation.

Come early and attend the basic needs resource fair in the lobby of the PAC.

Note: Tickets are on a sliding scale with funds supporting basic needs work at Western. Western student tickets are free.
